Sketch

This is my sketch of the landscape from Da Angelos.

Da Picture

Yesterday i went out to dinner with my sister and my mom to Da Angelos. I saw this Mural of a landscape that really caught my eye. I really like it im working on a sketch of it now. This first picture is only a part of the actual mural. I really like this segment on its own. Im working on sketches for it. Unfortunately, i am not going to be able to make the mural by the end of the school year. So it will be my summer project! I am going to make the plan for it today. I also want to do my painting of the landscape on a large canvas. I am also going to do my charcoal still life. I will be posting up pictures of my sketches of the mural landscape later today!

Go Diego Go!

Today i was talking to my community Julian. Who helped me find a really interesting artist, his name is Diego Rivera. As i google searched him i found a painting of a landscape he did. Thats the painting above. This is perfect! so i have decided to change my painting into this. since im not too experienced drawing people and/or animals. As i was talking to Julian he had said to just draw the upper half of the painting. I really like that idea a lot so now i am going to start sketching that. Two days ago my uncle who is also an art major had told me about a peruvian artist Victor Humareda. When i started to research him i really liked his work.

this one that is also a sort of landscape i really liked. The colors were really vibrant and i loved it. If i have time and i will try to do a painting based on Humaredas work.

Bbq mural

Sketching out my bbq mural it has come down to be a landscape. This picture is what i have to paint. Im getting more courage and less at the same time in the process of making the plans for the mural. Less courage because i am currently helping Kaitlyn with her graffiti mural for her room and i realized, literally blowing up a picture for me is going to be a HUGE challenge. This is going to be my first time doing something like this. The pressure is really on because its not like i can pick it up and throw it out i have to look at it every time i walk out into my backyard. I am getting more courage because a weird feeling of confidence that i never really had with my art has me. Since we arent exactly done with the bbq just yet i have to wait until they finish to start painting. This gives me time to finish my planning and get the measurements in place. I found a really cool looking landscape i might use. Ill post my sketch of it in my next post. I should be done with it soon so for my next project i wanna work with charcoal. So thats what i am going to start with tomorrow. Playing around with charcoal and getting the feel of it is what i need. I am also going to look for some sort of still life so i can draw it with the charcoal. I should be getting my large canvas soon so ill post that with my sketch on it soon too!
