White Walls.
A couple of days ago in STAC we were told to have a ruler and a black "medium point" sharpie which actually meant a fine point one! It was pretty funny how crazy everyone got over the sharpie situation. Anyways! today in class we finally got to see why we needed the ruler and sharpie. I wasn't expecting what we did. I thought we were going to make architectural designs since we are reading that book about architecture. When Luke said that we had to write something we liked it seemed kinda boring but when we went outside and started working on the mural and writing on the walls, it was pretty intense. The three things i chose that are my favorite are drawing, music and camp. I chose those three because honestly i cannot tell you where i would be without them. Drawing is my ultimate stress reliever, music is another stress reliever and camp is just my second home its great because its an art camp! Our task was pretty much to write what we liked then why we liked it then why why we liked it and it goes on and on until you think your chain has ended. It was an overall really cool experience. i got to talk to more people and get to know them after seeing what they wrote! they seem really fly-chill (its a word describing laid back that my friend made up...well at least i think she made it up.) so that made everything awesomer! (another non-english word) I even learned some new things about myself...i am a terrible speller! The mural so far is looking awesome when i was walking around i was like "wow the final piece is going to look intense!" can't wait!

It already is intense. It's sort of a big mess, but there is an honesty and a jolt about it. I really love it.
ReplyDeleteNow, what did you learn about yourself? That is the sort of thing... when you say things like that around me you must expect I will jump on it and try to get you to open it up more.
Welcome to STAC! I hope you are having adventures.

ReplyDeleteWhat would be interesting to look into is seeing which one you learned more from. Talking to people or looking at their writing? It's not a question I can necessarily answer, but it's a cool thing to think about.
Something else that was really telling was how they wrote it (not just what they wrote). Everyone's layout, organization, and even handwriting, told so much about themselves. We were really all doing the same thing - same project, same concept, same tools, same "font"- but everyone's came out looking different.

ReplyDeleteWhat is so funny is I tried to make it as uniform as possible, and it just didn't turn out that way!

ReplyDeletei agree i've realized that when it comes down to being perfect i really need to be perfect i ran up the hall way just wondering how to spell words asking people and im still not 100% sure I got one of them right even after looking it up. that was a perfect way to put what the truth is, i think about everyone.
