Break.
This break was really fun from Friday until yesterday until all my family left. So I'm bored. I unfortunately missed all of the STAC intensive week performances because my cousins from Peru wanted to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They're really into art, it was cool talking about the different movements we learned about this year with them. We went to a bunch of different art supply stores for them and I got a small canvas a free acrylic/water color brush! Which made me continue working on my color mixing. So I really like this whole concept of grid drawing. I decided to try it with this picture my friend gave me of him as a baby on the new canvas I got. One word, STRESS! It seemed to much easier in class. I mean i did everything that i was told to do, it just came out really awkward. It was most likely because i made my grids by hand, so the boxes werent exactly the same size. I'm going to try to fix it up by the end of break and see how it comes out. Hopefully good!

Are you using a ruler? To grid things out by hand, you need a good ruler and a square. These are mechanical drawing tools. Do you have them?
ReplyDeleteDon't get discouraged! You can do it! Sometimes you just have to start again.
Warm regards,
