Final Project(s)

Looking at all the progress I have made last quarter in my art. I have decided that I want to do something on my own. I really want to work with charcoal. I want to make a averagely large piece. Im not exactly sure of the measurements. I know that I want to work with oils and charcoal. Looking at the book that Luke gave me The Shock of The New. I really want to do a couple of still lives. I also want to do portraits. Which leads me into my side salad project. I want to take pictures of people and draw the pictures in charcoal. I have been looking into photography a bit and it seems interesting and something that i would enjoy. I have a camera and i want to make use of it. On both projects i want to focus a lot on the realism. Especially, on my still lives. I really just want a piece that i made all by myself and i think looks good and to be able to call it my own. Im looking for a place to base my still life off of. I took a picture of this interesting lamppost i thats in front of my house that i pass everyday when i walk home. I might want to paint that. I want to do all sorts of paintings and drawings but im trying to decide on which ones to do or how to incorporate all of them into several different pieces. I also want to do peoples bodies. I have been doing a couple of sketches of people sitting and doing what theyre doing whether its moving or dancing and just i find myself really into it. That is my main goal for the weekend to have all my research done and get sketches of my main project and figure out my photography side salad!
